Door County Maritime Museum-Baileys Harbor-Cana Island Tractor Driver

We are looking for tractor drivers for Cana Island Lighthouse! Drive a John Deere tractor towing a wooden haywagon across the causeway, bringing visitors to and from the Cana Island Lighthouse, and providing an important accessibility service for the island. Our tractor drivers are usually the first person people see as they are getting to Cana Island, so a friendly smile is a must! Training is provided, but some experience driving a tractor or similar equipment is helpful. A valid driver license is required. Cana Island is open May 1-October 31, we try to offer the tractor service every day we are open. The day is split into two 4-hour shifts, and volunteers sign up for whatever shifts they want. You can drive on a regular basis, or sporadically.

This volunteer opportunity is seasonal – May 1-October 31

This opportunity is appropriate for adults.
