The Golden Heart Volunteer Awards recognizes and celebrates Door County’s greatest volunteers. Volunteers are critical to the success of our unique and special community, and these remarkable individuals deserve recognition.
Volunteers will be recognized in seven categories…
Adult Volunteer of the Year
Environmental Stewardship Award
Arts Volunteer of the Year – New This Year for volunteerism supporting performing arts
Cultural Volunteer of the Year – New This Year for volunteerism supporting visual arts and cultural heritage
Group Volunteers of the Year
Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award
Karl May Lifetime of Service Award
Seated dinner will begin at 5:30pm with mixed greens salad with a variety of dressings, warm rolls and butter. Guests have the choice of three entrees:
- Slow Roasted Pork Loin with Door County Cherry Sauce
- Grilled Salmon Fillet with Dill Sauce (GF)
- Stuffed Marinara Shells with Seasoned Ground Beef and Cheese Stuffing
- Vegetarian entree available upon request
Finish the meal with assorted cookies and brownies and enjoy the program!
Purchase Golden Heart Tickets
First opportunity for purchased tickets goes to nominees and the organizations who nominated them. Tickets will go on sale to the general public mid to late March. Tickets can be purchased for $50 each by contacting Kelly at the United Way Office (920) 746-9645.
