This is a ridiculously fun event!
We’ll be at the Fish Creek YMCA on Friday, April 12 from Noon until 9 PM, and we need your help! We’re looking for people to help with setup, room reset, and tear-down of four Escape Rooms. We are also looking for a few brave souls to be actors and room hosts in each of the four rooms.
Setup, Reset, and Tear-down: You’ll help get the rooms ready for participants and take it all down when we’re done. Setup shift is from 12 Noon to 3 PM. Room Reset shift is from 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Tear-down work is 8:30 PM – 9 PM.
Room Host and Actor: Each room needs an actor to dole out meager hints to participants if they need help. The room host orients the team to their mission within the room and provides additional support to the actor if needed. Both the actor and the host help with resetting the room puzzles between participating groups. The Actor and Host shift is 3PM – 8:30PM. Orientation is at 3PM. Escape Room participant groups begin arriving at 4PM. There are 4 waves of participant groups for each Escape Room, finishing up by 8:30PM.
Now! On to the rooms themselves so that you can help us put you where you might like to be (please note, we may have to break your heart to make sure all of the rooms are staffed).
FROST is a kid-friendly escape room set in an enchanted fairy forest (in winter!). The mission is to help the poor befuddled sprite figure out what they are. ACTOR: Befuddled Sprite
THE LOST MUMMY – This is a kid-friendly escape room. The mission of the room is to discover the identity of the person in the sarcophagus and thwart the pestilent Ammit. ACTOR: Ammit
ENVY is an adult-level escape room set in 1931. Lord Carnegie and his guests wake up at the dinner party (not a slumber party) to find the vault empty and the butler missing! ACTOR: Detective Chief Inspector Farthing
ESCAPE ROOM Z – This is an adult-level escape room. ZOMBIES!!! They don’t want your brains for some reason, they’re after your pizza. Get the good professor and the last pizza in town out of the room and to the safety of Crazy Dave’s Organic Produce. ACTOR: Concussed Professor Schmittlab
Please note that all of these rooms are family-friendly. The difference between the rooms is the difficulty of the puzzles.
